What fifteen people keep saying

Fifteen reviews is not a huge number. What makes it worth reading is that they are unanimous, they are recent, and they keep landing on the same four things: the price being what was quoted, the job being explained before it was started, the house being left clean, and somebody turning up when they said they would.

None of those are technical. Every one of them is the thing people actually complain about when they complain about a tradesperson, which is a fair indication of how the work gets done.

Both halves of the trade

Plenty of firms do one side. A plumber who will not touch the boiler means two visits, two prices and an argument about whose fault the leak is. A gas engineer who does not want to know about the bathroom is the same problem in reverse.

Harriman are listed as a gas engineer and the review topics bear that out — boilers come up more than anything else. But bathrooms, leaks, radiators and taps are all on the same van, which is the point of the mark on it.

Gas Safe registration

Anyone working on a gas appliance in the UK must by law be on the Gas Safe Register, and the register is public — you can check any engineer on it before you let them in, and it is worth doing with anybody, not just with us.

We are fully gas safe and insured. We have not printed a registration number on this concept because we have not been given one. Send it over and it goes on properly, with the scheme badge, before anything goes live.

Where the work is
